CLEAR LAKE MAIDS LLC, also referred to as "Company," "we," or "us," reserves the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions for our cleaning services in Houston and surrounding areas without giving prior notice. By requesting service from CLEAR LAKE MAIDS LLC, the client accepts these terms and conditions and agrees to abide by them. Please carefully read these terms and conditions.
COVID-19: No customer shall book a service with Clear Lake Maids LLC without fully disclosing their knowledge of COVID-19 symptoms. As a customer, it is your responsibility to inform the Company if you are experiencing symptoms, have recently traveled internationally, been in quarantine, or have been in contact with someone ill. Clear Lake Maids LLC reserves the right to discontinue service on the grounds of health and safety, in accordance with Texas Department of State Health Services guidelines.
REFUNDS: Services are personalized and non-refundable. If unsatisfied, contact us within 24 hours of the booking start time. We may offer a free re-clean if notified within that time, with photos of missed areas provided. New services cannot be added to a re-clean without meeting our minimum service requirement. Re-cleans occur within 24–48 hours and require client access.
RECEIPTS: Receipts are sent automatically upon successful payment. If not received, request a manual copy using the email provided during booking.
GIFT CARDS: Gift cards are redeemable for cleaning services but not refundable or redeemable for cash. Use your unique gift card code when booking. Remaining balances may be used for future cleanings.
NO CONTRACT: There is no long-term agreement between Clear Lake Maids LLC and the client. Clients may cancel or reschedule services up to 24 hours before the appointment. Late cancellations incur a $79 fee. Rescheduled appointments that are later canceled also incur this fee.
MOVE-OUT CLEANING: Move-out services assume the home is empty, with water and electricity available. For safety reasons, AC must be available and operating. We do not remove pet odors. If personal items remain (e.g., items in fridges, cabinets), we reserve the right to reclassify the service to a regular or deep clean and adjust pricing accordingly. Appliance or cabinet interiors must be mostly empty for add-on cleaning services.
HOURLY SERVICE: Hourly rates apply as quoted at booking. Bookings may only be Standard, Deep, Move-Out, or Hourly. Cleaners cannot alter service type onsite. Requests for extra time or changes must be submitted via phone, text, or email. Clients present during hourly cleanings must manage time use; overages are billable. Concerns about efficiency must be raised during the service. Our 24-hour guarantee covers only time needed to re-clean missed areas—not the full original time.
SERVICE APPROVAL: Satisfaction may be confirmed via phone, email, or text. Once confirmed, re-clean requests may be denied. Complaints made more than 24 hours after the service may not be honored. Clients delaying the cleaning team for post-service walkthroughs beyond 10 minutes may be billed for the time.
TEAMS: We assign solo cleaners or teams based on job size. We try to keep the same team for recurring clients, but cannot guarantee it due to scheduling or availability.
CONDUCT: Our cleaners do not engage in non-cleaning tasks. We are not specialists in grout, renovation cleanup, exterior cleaning, or other trades. We focus on general house cleaning only.
PET SAFETY: Clear Lake Maids LLC is not responsible for pets that escape during service. Inform us in advance if pets roam free so we can exercise caution when entering/exiting.
EQUIPMENT: We provide all necessary supplies. If you prefer a specific product, inform us prior to the service. In certain cases, we may require clients to provide a vacuum to avoid allergen cross-contamination.
ARRIVAL TIME: We offer a 90-minute arrival window. Delays due to traffic or prior jobs will be communicated in advance.
SCHEDULING CHANGES: Recurring prices are based on service frequency:
Weekly = every 7 days
Bi-Weekly = every 14–21 days
Monthly = every 28–35 days
Delays or changes may result in price adjustments.
PRICE ADJUSTMENTS: Prices may be adjusted based on time required, home condition, or scope of service. Clients are expected to disclose accurate home details during booking. Price updates do not affect previously confirmed appointments.
WORKING AT HEIGHTS: Cleaners will not use ladders exceeding two steps. Requests involving high surfaces will be declined.
PAYMENT POLICY: Payment method is due upon booking. Accepted forms: credit/debit cards only. Alternate methods are not accepted unless pre-approved. Services cannot be held without a payment method.
LATE CANCELLATION: A $79 fee applies if canceled within 24 hours. Notice must be provided via call, text, or email. Telling cleaners onsite is not valid notice.
LOCKOUTS: If cleaners cannot access the home, we will attempt to reschedule. Lockouts may incur a $79 fee.
CHANGES & ADDITIONAL REQUESTS: Requests must be made to our office, not directly to cleaners. Only approved work on the booking form will be performed.
SECURITY SYSTEMS: Provide any alarm codes in advance. Notify us of code changes before your scheduled clean.
CANCELLATIONS BY CLEAR LAKE MAIDS LLC: We may cancel if access, water/electricity, or working conditions are unsafe or obstructed (no AC, pest infestation, biohazard situations.) Clients may be charged up to 50% of the service cost.
DAMAGE & LIABILITY: Secure valuables before service. Report any damage within 24 hours. If confirmed, we may repair or replace at our discretion. Clients must be present for final inspection. Once the team leaves, liability may not be accepted for unreported damages.
HOLIDAYS: Observed holidays include New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We will notify clients 1–2 weeks ahead if rescheduling is needed.
CLUTTER: Clients are encouraged to reduce clutter prior to service. Our team may skip heavily cluttered areas or attempt limited tidying for cleaning access.
LAUNDRY SERVICE: Clients requesting laundry service accept all risks (e.g., shrinking, fading). Clear Lake Maids LLC is not responsible for damage to machines or clothing.
PET CLEANING LIMITS: We do not clean litter boxes or remove pet waste/urine from floors.
HEALTH & SAFETY: Services may be declined due to unsafe conditions or tasks outside our insurance scope.
QUALITY CONTROL: Supervisors may inspect homes or follow up post-service to ensure quality. Feedback may be requested via survey.
STAIN REMOVAL: While we aim to remove surface stains, we cannot guarantee full removal of long-standing stains (e.g., oven, wall marks).
PHOTOS: We may take before-and-after photos for internal records, marketing, and quality assurance. If you prefer no photos to be taken, please notify our office before your scheduled service.
WALL CLEANING: We are not responsible for damage during wall spot cleaning or full wall washing. We reserve the right to switch services or refuse the task based on wall condition.
HOARDING: Homes with hoarding conditions will be charged hourly ($75/hr/cleaner). Estimates provided in advance.
EXTRA SERVICES: Add-ons (e.g., garage cleaning, post-construction, post-renovation) must be requested in advance. Phone estimates may be adjusted post-cleaning.
ITEMS WE DO NOT CLEAN: We do not handle bodily fluids, insect infestations, or litter boxes. We will avoid areas deemed unsafe. We do not clean inside appliances with seals such as dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers. Clients should inform us of items they prefer untouched.
LIMITS TO CLEANING: We do not clean outside the home, lift objects over 20 lbs, move electronics, or perform childcare/pet care. We do not clean behind appliances unless they are pre-moved.
HIRING CLAUSE: Clients agree not to directly hire our cleaners for two years after their last service. Breach of this policy requires a 20% placement fee of the cleaner’s estimated annual pay.
TIPS: Tips are appreciated (recommended 10–15%). You may tip via cash or have it added to your card.
KEYS & ACCESS: Clients must ensure cleaners have access via lockbox, keycode, etc. Missed cleanings due to access issues will be rescheduled; no refunds provided.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Client data is confidential. Calls may be recorded for quality purposes.
INSURANCE: We carry general liability insurance for all services performed.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: Services are provided "as-is" without guarantees of performance, availability, or specific outcomes. Clients assume all risks associated with third-party services or hardware.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Clear Lake Maids LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the prior six months.
ARBITRATION AGREEMENT: All disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas. By booking a service, you waive your right to court proceedings or class actions.
GOVERNING LAW: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. By using our website and booking our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.
